You can probably tell this strip was created in conjunction with a story on racism (remember: at this time Cool Jerk ran on the teen page in the Reno paper). I enlisted my pal Burns to help with the punchline. And I never did finish inking Puppy’s shoe in panel 4.
So this is how Armpit and Manhattan met, huh? That’s pretty cool. I’d like to have seen the next three panels where the redneck punks get the shit beaten out of them.
I like how Manhattan evolved over time… although his haircut hasn’t. 🙂
