I remember that joke from a Samhain, er, Halloween episode of ‘Martin.’ Martin Lawrence had his own sitcom back in the early 90s and I’m fairly sure that was its only reference to Beastiality. Unless you count any reference to Shanaynay.
@zjsimon: God as my witness, I’ve never seen an episode of “Martin,” but YES that’s the joke. It’s in the index portion of two Cool Jerk books and has its own Tag. I heard the joke probably right around the same time; my first mention of it was Aug. 3, 1991.
EDIT: Further research on IMDB shows that “Martin” debuted in 1992… proof that Martin Lawrence (and/or his writers) read Cool Jerk???
OMG! I completely lost the joke. I was waiting for the next strip to tell me what the inbred hillbilly said. I’m glad I came back to read the comments. I was stuck on the Michael Berryman reference. I geeked out on that.
