I have a Cool Jerk T-shirt (or ladies tank) for the first person to guess all 8 music videos I referenced in this strip. Hint: They’re all from the ’80s. You have until Cool Jerk Vol. 3: Bimboozled is released (July 15, 2010). If you don’t want to post your guesses in a public setting, feel free to email me directly!

(NOTE — If no one gets all 8 correct as of midnight PST 7.15.10, I’ll kick down a shirt to whoever gets the most correct. So TRY!)

    I totally lose at your contest (aside from the Safety Dance move which was a gimme just from the URL and dialogue in panel 3), since I never had cable (hence no MTV) in the ’80s, but I would like to comment that the Lynch Mob appear to be simultaneously jacking guys off and kneeing them in the goolies. Wow, talk about mixed emotions! Wait, is that some sort of John Mellencamp “Hurts So Good” ref?

    Even with the help of the diagrams, I’m at a loss. I spent four straight days sitting in front of MTV waiting for some videos and then I realized MTV doesn’t play videos anymore!
